Have questions that need a quick answer?

If you don’t see an answer to your question(s), please contact our office.

Are you locally owned & operated?

Yes! Hogarth’s is a family-owned and operated business that has been servicing Northern Michigan for over 20 years. Ken and Holly Hogarth are very active in everyday operations along with their son, Parker Hogarth. We take great pride in offering local, dependable service. We have a very small turnover rate, so you can guarantee you’re getting trusted, professional service from each and everyone of our employees. To learn more about each of them, check out our ABOUT US page.

Are you insured?

Yes. Hogarth’s is fully certified, licensed and insured through the state of Michigan.

Are your products safe for people & pets?

All technicians employed by Hogarth’s Pest Control are required to become certified pesticide applicators through the Michigan Department of Agriculture. Their certifications, combined with thorough training and knowledge of pesticide labels as regulated by the Environmental Protection agency (EPA), ensure the least risk for people and pets. When applying pesticides, it’s important to know that the label is the law, and Hogarth’s strictly follows all pesticide labels and application requirements.

What types of services do you offer?

Hogarth’s is a full-service, residential and commercial, pest control and wildlife company. Whether it be wasps, bed bugs, bats, or squirrels, we can help! We recommend taking a look at our full list of services for pest control, wildlife and animal removal, or other concerns. If you don’t see something listed, please don’t hesitate to contact us in regards to your specific concern.

Will your products hurt my plants & foliage?

Our products do not harm plants, shrubs, or foliage around your structure. However, we do require that homeowners take necessary steps to cover any edible plants, such as vegetables or herbs, prior to application.

Will your products stain or damage the siding of our structure?

No. Our products are water based and do not cause damage or staining.

Are there any steps I should take before getting my home sprayed?

Yes. Any painting or power washing should be done prior to having Hogarth’s spray. During application, we require that all doors and windows be closed, and people and pets remain inside until the product has dried. If you plan on washing your windows, we strongly recommend that you do so after Hogarth’s has finished their application, as it can leave some residue on the windows.

Do you send out reminders to customers that it’s time to spray?

Yes! Hogarth’s makes it a top priority to notify all customers via email that it’s time to schedule their spring treatment. Reminder emails are typically sent out in early spring, but we encourage customers to notify Hogarth’s if they’re interested in being put on an automatic, yearly treatment program. This way, we’ll automatically schedule you every year in the spring so you don’t have to worry about contacting us.

Will I be notified before you come to spray?

Yes! As with yearly reminders, we make it a top priority to notify customers before your scheduled appointment. Appointment times are confirmed the day prior. If you’d like to request a specific day or time, please notify Hogarth’s of your request when scheduling. We typically service specific areas on certain days, and do our very best to accommodate any and all customer requests.
